A French
Renaissance Revival Walnut Carved Bookcase. This is a bookcase of
bookcases! The top has a split pediment with carved scrolling and
family crest shield. The double doors have the original hand blown
glass and the interior is fitted with three shelves. The top case is
flanked with two curved shelves. The bottom case is Bombay on each
side and has two drawers with hand carved pulls over two doors with
elegantly carved hanging game and fish. The Bombay sides have
elegantly carved fruits, nuts, and lacy ribbon. The bottom interior
is fitted with a shelf and the cabinet is made of solid black walnut
and black trimming. The finish and hardware are original.
