A French
Louis XV Walnut Double Door Armoire. The arched molded cornice
centered with a crisply cared rocaille and rose surmount and having
acanthine and oral boss surmounts to either side above beveled
glazed doors and a serpentine molded and relief rocaille carved
apron raised on acanthine carved cabriolet legs terminating in
upturned scrolling feet. The interior is fitted with five walnut
shelves with stringing and a central belt of two short birds eye
maple veneered drawers as well as a lower belt of like drawers, the
interior doors also having birds eye maple veneering. The finish and
hardware are original.
